Our dog needed an ultrasound to make sure he didn’t have a tumor or mass on his liver and we lived in St. Petersburg and no one could get us in for months IF they had the ultrasound machine. We emailed our dog’s medical records over and 2 days later, we met Dr. Kerr and his vet tech, Jessi. After our first visit there, we decided that our dog wouldn’t see anyone other than Dr. Kerr. We had some emergencies and they squeezed us in. I love that they’re open 7 days a week, have a CT machine, X-ray machine, ultrasound machine, can do the blood work while you’re there, and offer rehabilitation for your pets. Our dog used to be very nervous when going to the vet, but he learned quickly that once he saw Dr. Kerr, he felt better and would snore all the way home. Let me also add that our Blue is a senior pitbull who was born blind. We moved to Tennessee 7 months ago and leaving Dr. Kerr and his staff was a big dilemma for us. We just found a vet who reminds us of Dr. Kerr and his staff. But, we will always be huge supporters of Burnt Store Animal Hospital, refer everyone we know to them, and love them all so much! They’re part of our family. 💙

We have ran through the gamut of Vets in this town. Some ok or way higher in price for simple items or services. Well we found BSAH. This is our third visit and each time has been a joy. First and foremost each employee genuinely seems to love animals ( Was a big reason we left last location, Attitudes from staff ) Secondly the price is fair, true to the market place with many options. Thirdly bed side manners are fantastic. Giving bad news is never easy and with that said a few things that need attention were Categorized from most important to things to plan for. Not forced to commit to a service but working with us on a plan for better health for our family's pets. Justin <Dr. Kerr> is fantastic at making the complex jargon understandable and easy to <follow>. The real world examples and explanations made understanding the health risks our pets could face left undiagnosed or treated. Very chromatic and makes for a fun visit for the owners and pets.

The staff and vets here are amazing. They are pleasant, informative, and professional. Dr Kerr and his team took my puppy on an emergent situation, performed surgery, and saved my puppies' life. They were amazing, and I could not thank them enough.

Dr Kerr is a phenomenal vet and a BRILLIANT surgeon! We use him for our Rescued dogs at Paws Crossed Inc! I've lost count of how many sick or injured dogs he has helped us save! He's done some very involved surgeries for us that most Vets wouldn't even attempt! His prices are more than reasonable! We are so very grateful to Dr Kerr and his entire staff! I have referred many of our adopters to Dr Kerr who all have had great experiences with him! I will continue to refer Burnt Store Animal Hospital to our adopters! 
Dr. Kerr and the staff at Burnt Store are incredible. They are extremely reliable, caring, and truly compassionate and with all animals. I couldn’t recommend them more than I already do. I know a ton of dogs and owners are beyond thankful for this amazing vet team!

Dr. Kerr is absolutely incredible! He saved the life of my Guinness! He is an amazing vet and his staff is wonderful. I have and will continue to recommend him to everyone! Thank you for everything you did for us, Guinness wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you!!

I highly recommend BSAH. They did an amazing job with my dog Tucker!!! Dr Kerr and his staff are very friendly, professional, and informative! The office smells good and is very clean. Also, has the cutest art hanging on the walls. Well worth the hour drive from Bonita Springs to Punta Gorda!! |
I went to four different orthopedic surgeons who told me my dog had to have the TPLO surgery on both knees. doctor Kerr at burnt store interacted with my puppy for three minutes and immediately knew that was not the case. He had Frank do a CT Turns out my puppy had some slipped disc in his back he was treated with the medication and is 100% better. I highly recommend this place. These guys are amazing |

Can't say enough about this practice. Dr. Kerr, Jamie and Emily were angels on our most difficult day. Dr. Kerr is kind, patient and straightforward, making explanations clear and easy to process. The entire staff is so compassionate and supportive. Can't thank them enough for helping us send our hairy boy Copper to Rainbow Bridge in such a caring and compassionate environment. |

I had met the staff and Dr. Kerr at a fundraiser for a local Rescue. When one of my babies was recently diagnosed with diabetes I decided to take her to BSAH to get a second opinion because our usual vet had decided to stop insulin after only 2 doses due to her numbers on my glucose meter being all over the place. Dr. S saw Letty and recommended we do a glucose curve immediately and try some other foods. Letty is scared of anywhere that isn't home and anyone that isn't mommy or daddy. She was a little lover the whole day they had her I was told. The entire staff loves animals. To me they are my babies not animals and seeing how much love and attention they give to all patients I asked that they get the records for all my babies so they can all start getting the loving treatment they deserve. |
I highly recommend Dr. Kerr. My rescue pup had really bad ear infections. Turns out she had a tumor in her ear canal. Instead of removing the entire ear canal and her loosing the ability to hear, he made her a new one. She is recovering nicely and most of all can hear. He was great with my girl and his entire staff was very helpful!
