Born and raised on a farm in Central Illinois, I have been around dogs, hens, roosters, pigs, and cows most of my life. In college, I earned my degree in Early Childhood Development and used that education to teach PreSchool for several years. I relocated to Florida with my husband and our 2 small children in 1984.
Since 2014, I’ve been volunteering in animal rescue groups. I also enjoy spending time with my 5 grandchildren, my 3 dogs (all rescues), my husband, and crafting. My husband, Mike, and I travel locally with our friend, Toni Walker, a local Christian recording artist. Mike manages the sound equipment, and I oversee Merchandising. I have always tried to live by the motto, “Lend a helping hand to those in need.” This, coupled with my love of animals, brought me to Kerr's Angel Fund charity to help improve the life of pets who may not get the care they require otherwise. |
